KNIGHTS OF ST.COLUMBA

KSC MEDAL

Council: No.514 Province 30

Location: St.Lawrence Presbytery, The Green, Feltham

Location: St.Christopher Presbytery, High Street, Cranford TW5 9RG

The Council was formed in 1956 as a bi-parish Council which covered Feltham - Ashford and for several years Council met at St Lawrence Feltham Social Club, a small wooden building adjacent to the church.

As time went by the Council grew and membership was being attracted from a wider area which covered Parishes in Hampton - Whittin - Cranford and Hounslow all within a few miles.

As time went on we lost some of our older members and we are now looking to recruit new members in both Cranford and Feltham.

If you are interested visit www.province30.co.uk for more information white this website is updated to reflect the current officers and members of this Council.

Membership varies from year to year. The highest number of members ever recorded was twentysix.
Last few  years we have been unfortunate to lose a number of our senior Brothers who passed away,
members that we will find hard to replace. Recruitment is always at the forefront of our mind.
In the past we were fortunate enough to have attracted a regular number of new Brothers.
During 1996/1997 Council 514 won the Bernard  Cup for the highest number of recruits amongst
all the Councils in Province-30.

As a result of smaller membership, and Covid-19 restrictions, we now need new members to boost the workers in the vineyard of the Lord.

Council 514 has won the Provincial recruitment cup in 1996
for its recruiting campaign and its success in initiating the highest number
of Brothers in one year.

Council 514 also won the thropy for the council who made the most
visits to other councils in Province 30 during 1999.

In days when Council was strong enough Council 514 activities
organised a number of events each year.

Brothers took turns in visiting the Homeless taking them
Food, clothing and cigarettes at
the Thames embankment near the Aldwych is the most
common distribution place for this activity

The John O'Hanlon Trust is very prominent in Co.514.
This was established in honour of one of our Brothers who
passed away after a long illness.  Fundraising in the community enabled us

to fund a visit to Lourdes by sick people in the parishes.  In excess of 50 people from our parishes

were able to join the HCPT Jambulance. We can still continue this good work if our membership is boosted.

Other events The Knights organise include  Cheese and Wine Auction at our parishes,

which sometimes can raise enough to sponsor one sick person.

UNITY - CHARITY - FRATERNITY

and this year we also added the Motto

FAITH - FAMILY - FRATERNITY
